Ko bodo novi stre\u017eniki za\u010deli delovati, bo Arnesov sistem, ki je uporabnikom na voljo \u017ee od leta 2009, postal\u00a0najzmogljivej\u0161i superra\u010dunalnik v Sloveniji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prenovljena Arnesova gru\u010da bo dobila kar 4.256 novih procesorskih jeder, ki imajo teoreti\u010dno zmogljivost skoraj 170 TFLOPS, in 48 novih grafi\u010dnih procesorjev NVidia V100s z zmogljivostjo ve\u010d kot 350 TFLOPS. Skupno torej 520 TFLOPS ali ve\u010d kot 0,5 PFLOPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poleg ra\u010dunskih zmogljivosti se bodo pove\u010dale tudi diskovne. \u0160tiri velike diskovne stre\u017enike, ki so s pomo\u010djo razpr\u0161enega omre\u017enega podatkovnega sistema CEPH zagotavljali diskovni prostor superra\u010dunalni\u0161ki gru\u010di, bo nadomestilo kar deset novih. Vsak bo prispeval 150 TB&nbsp; prostora na trdih diskih in 16&nbsp;TB na hitrih diskih SSD, omogo\u010dali pa bodo vzporedno pisanje in branje na ve\u010d diskov in ve\u010d stre\u017enikov, kar bo \u0161e pove\u010dalo varnost podatkov in pospe\u0161ilo delovanje. Prenovljeni sistem bo tako zagotavljal hiter vzporeden dostop do ve\u010d kot 1&nbsp;PB uporabnega prostora na trdih diskih in ve\u010d kot 100&nbsp;TB prostora na hitrih diskih SSD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tehni\u010dne specifikacije novih ra\u010dunskih stre\u017enikov Arnesove gru\u010de<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 62 stre\u017enikov s procesorjem AMD Epyc 7702P 64 C\/128 T, 256\u00a0GB RAM;<br>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 24 stre\u017enikov s procesorjem AMD Epyc 7272 12 C\/24 T, 128\u00a0GB RAM in 2x NVidia V100s;<br>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 10 stre\u017enikov za diskovni sistem CEPH s 150 TB HDD in 16 TB SSD;<br>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 skupaj 4.256 jeder, 17,9 TB RAM, 3 PB bruto HDD, 320 TB SSD;<br>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 zunanja povezava: 100 Gbit\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kdo bo uporabljal Arnesov superra\u010dunalnik?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Arnesov superra\u010dunalnik podpira uporabo za izobra\u017eevanje, med raziskovalci pa najve\u010d na podro\u010djih umetne inteligence in tehnologije znanja, teoretske fizike in fizike delcev, v genomiki, ra\u010dunski kemiji in pri obdelavah velepodatkov. V prenovljeni obliki bo primeren tudi za analizo posnetkov kriomikroskopije in druge intenzivne obdelave podatkov. Zelo velike naloge in mo\u010dno paralelni algoritmi, kakr\u0161ni so obi\u010dajni v fiziki trdnih snovi ter dinamiki teko\u010din, so primernej\u0161i za sisteme, kakr\u0161na sta HPC Maister in HPC Vega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dostop do superra\u010dunalnikov je za raziskovalce pogosto klju\u010dnega pomena: rezultate dobijo hitreje, preizkusijo lahko ve\u010d pristopov, predvsem pa lahko obdelajo bistveno ve\u010d podatkov in se lotijo mnogo zahtevnej\u0161ih problemov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;<\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arnesovi strokovnjaki so nedavno raz\u0161irili\u00a0Arnesovo superra\u010dunalni\u0161ko gru\u010do.
