In nato je pri\u0161el IBMov mainframe stre\u017eni\u0161ki sistem, ki je prinesel pravo revolucijo na podro\u010dju stre\u017eni\u0161ke arhitekture. V sedemdesetih letih prej\u0161njega stoletja je tr\u017eni dele\u017e IBMovih mainframe re\u0161itev presegal 70 odstotkov, zato ni bilo ni\u010d \u010dudnega, da se je ra\u010dunalni\u0161ki gigant
